Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our Alternative Investment Platform Modernization group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our investment platform through comprehensive testing and automation strategies, with a strong background in both JavaScript and Java automation, API testing, and cloud services.

Requirements

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using JavaScript (JEST) and Java (Cucumber) to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Conduct API testing using tools such as Insomnia and Postman to validate endpoints and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform SQL queries to validate data integrity and support database testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and develop test plans for new features and enhancements.
  • Utilize AWS services for testing environments and automated deployments.
  • Track and manage defects using JIRA, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with development teams.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to streamline testing processes.
  • Participate in requirements analysis and provide feedback on testability and design for new features.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and best practices within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance, focusing on testing and automation.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript automation using JEST and Java automation using Cucumber.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Insomnia and Postman.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and experience in database testing.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based testing environments.
  • Proficient in using JIRA for issue tracking and project management.
  • Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
