Your opportunity
The Junior Test Automation Engineer role at JHI is designed for ambitious individuals looking to kickstart their career in test automation and grow into Architect roles. This position offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving Snowflake, Azure Service Bus, Charles-River, SAP etc. and to gain hands-on experience with advanced testing frameworks like Tosca, Playwright, Specflow, custom in-house Python based applications within Agile and TDD methodologies. Prepare to tackle challenging problems, contribute to strategic projects, and grow your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Starting as a Junior Test Automation Engineer, you'll have the roadmap to advance to Test Automation Engineer &Senior Test Automation Engineer, with opportunities to specialize in areas aligned with your interests and the company’s needs, such as Data, API, or UI automation.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, and others, in languages like C# and Python.
- Engage in all phases of the testing lifecycle, with a focus on both functional and non-functional testing (e.g., performance, load). This will include all test layers - Data, API and UI and will not be focused solely on one.
- Support BAU activities, including bug fixes, functional enhancements, and user feedback implementation, within our key in-built quality frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with senior test automation architects, contributing insights and support towards the overall quality strategy.
- Engage with stakeholders providing technical support, demonstrations and training.
- Actively seek and identify opportunities to improve our testing processes and tools, aligning with the company's quality objectives.

Must have skills
- Basic proficiency in C#, Python, Javascript, SQL.
- Familiarity with some test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Specflow etc.
- Understanding of Agile and TDD methodologies.
- Knowledge of writing and execution of test script's.
- Desire to learn with genuine enthusiasm towards test automation and quality.
- Strong teamwork capabilities.
- Excellent communication and adaptability.
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset
- Adept communicator with strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Embraces change, open-minded, positive attitude and technically curious.
Nice to have skills
- Experience with AzureDevOps, Azure, Git and SQL.
- Exposure to Jira, Confluence.
