As a Cross-Team Engineer, you will help accelerate our product development by helping our developers build the safest and most reliable autonomous driving software possible. As developers build new features, you will handle the entire support workflow by developing extensive test plans, exploring and designing simulated tests and communicating with other teams to ensure that all potential blockers or missing features are at the right resolution path. These efforts are critical to exposing unforeseen failure modes, implementation bugs, and other issues as a result of new feature development.
Requirements
- Be the main POC for cross-engineering team: Receiving, analyzing and following up requests until completion.
- Completing automation testing tasks to ensure functional test coverage.
- Design, develop and execute synthetic test scenarios on an in-house simulation test framework.
- Identify, track, report and resolve test issues with cross-functional software development teams
- Providing failure metrics and analytical results.
- Automate manual processes across all aspects of test development workflow.
- Providing root cause analysis of the failure and escalate regressions to appropriate developers.
- Creating, validating and maintaining test plans to cover planner feature needs.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of software testing experience
- Proficiency with designing and implementing test strategies that scale across multiple test teams
- Proficiency with automated test framework and test automation
- Experience with GIT, command line, bug tracking and reporting tools and linux-based systems.
- Proficiency with Python, C++ or other scripting languages
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Must know U.S. rules of the road. Urban City driving experience is a plus.
