Your Impact at Ascend Analytics We’re looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our PowerSIMM team in Boulder, Colorado.
As a QA Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our application and data. Working closely with developers, data engineers, and analysts, you’ll write, execute, and maintain tests and scripts, focusing on our analytics code and processes to ensure a bug-free experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Test Development & Execution: Write, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate application code and processes.
- Data Validation: Perform automated and manual tests to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Test Automation: Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks.
- Quality Champion: Foster a culture where all employees take responsibility for quality.
- Documentation: Document test cases, procedures, and results.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and contribute to quality improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on QA methodologies, seeking to improve testing strategies.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Data/Information Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- 4+ years of QA experience, including UI and API automation
- Experience with Selenium, Postman, and/or Playwright
- Proficiency in an Agile Scrum environment with remote teammates
- Strong skills in identifying and isolating issues across the technology stack
- A desire to learn innovative technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of energy industry terminology and markets
- Experience with Technical Design Document review
- Skills in C#, Python, pytest, and VS Code
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD tools
Compensation & Benefits Salary: $75,000 - $105,000 (Negotiable based on experience). Ascend values our employees and often pays above industry average.
