Our Digital Engineering team at Storyteq are responsible for building world class, enterprise grade digital applications for high profile brands. Joining the Digital Engineering function would see you work as part of a cross-functional, product style team, generally consisting of a Business Analyst, Scrum Master / Project Manager, Solution Architect, Lead Developers (FE and BE), Developers, and Testers (Manual and Automated).

Over-seeing all test automation and frameworks and ensuring the team are functioning at full capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and quality deliverables with JLR portfolio.
  • Coordinate with QA manager and manage QA team activities, including work allocation, task prioritization and estimations.
  • Define and enforce quality standards, best practices, and guidelines across the QA team and the broader development organization.
  • Representing the QA Test teams at project meetings and conference calls with the QA for that team.
  • Performing and executing functional testing as part of the team.
  • Review the test strategy for both manual and automated test suites.
  • Developing test strategies and appropriate test documentation.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of coding standards for manual and automation testing.
  • Keep pushing the automation framework forward to ensure we are automating efficiently.
  • Assist QA Manager with recruitment and resourcing.
  • Assist QA Manager with inductions, training, and performance reviews.

Reporting, Relationships & Management:

Reporting to the QA & Automation Manager you will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing a team of experienced QA Testers and automation QA’s. Requirements

  • Strong understanding of manual testing processes and methodologies to ensure thorough testing coverage.
  • Good understanding of test automation and automation tools (e.g., Selenium or any other automation tools).
  • Experience and understanding of leading across the whole software development life cycle, including experience of setting testing standards, writing test scripts and implementing testing best practice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
  • Understand the user experience of the web applications and good hands-on experience in functional testing , UI testing and non-functional testing.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working within an Agile team.
  • Proven track record of requirements analysis and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility testing.
  • Experience of test automation with a solid understanding of frameworks and best practices (Selenium Webdriver , Page Model Object and Continuous Integration).
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD, build pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
  • Software testing certification or qualification (e.g. ISEB, ISTQB).
