Description
MyOrthoVA is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our team and ensure the excellence of our products through rigorous testing.
Job Overview:
As a QA Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality before being released to our customers. You will be responsible for identifying bugs, issues, and areas for improvement in our software, collaborating closely with development teams, and helping to maintain and improve our testing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases to identify software defects and ensure product quality.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on new and existing software applications.
- Report and document defects, issues, and results in a clear, concise manner using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements and understand the project scope.
- Validate product functionality by analyzing requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Participate in design and code reviews to provide input from a quality perspective.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Continuously improve the testing process by proposing new techniques, tools, or methodologies.
- Stay up to date with the latest testing trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, preferably in a QA Tester role.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Selenium).
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and defect reports.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, or enterprise software solutions.
- Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
