Quality Assurance Specialist - Software

Description

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and oversee the quality of all products and services that our organization produces.

Quality Assurance Specialist responsibilities include developing quality standards, conducting tests and identifying issues in the production of our products or services.

Ultimately, you will work with a team to ensure our final products meet our organization’s standards across the board.

A quality assurance specialist ensures that the final product observes the company's quality standards. In general, these detail-oriented professionals are responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed
• Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with superiors
• Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports
• Make recommendations for improvement
• Create training materials and operating manuals.
• Manually test mobile app and web app features to ensure system stability.
• Identify and reproduce bugs reported internally or by clients

Requirements

• Proven work experience in software quality assurance or similar role
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Sharp attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous and diligent attributes
• Great team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of tools, methods and concepts of quality assurance
• Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent data collection and analysis skills
• Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Assurance Specialist
• 2+ years of QA experience Manual Web & Mobile application testing
• Experience in writing comprehensive test cases, and documentation
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Experience in the ff:
  - Agile/Scrum development process
  - Jira / bug tracking tool
  - Test frameworks and management software
• Deep understanding of software testing, main concepts, and processes, software testing life cycle and software development life cycle
