Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Our projects range from mission control software systems running on-premises or in the cloud to on-board embedded software running on spacecraft.

Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, precise, and collaborative Software Quality Assurance Engineer to propel our team to new heights. You will ensure our processes are properly applied to software development projects. Collaborating with project teams, you will identify and resolve quality issues while contributing to the continuous improvement of our software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project-level Software Quality Assurance (SQA) plans and documentation.
• Create and maintain project quality documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
• Define, manage, and track software quality records to ensure compliance with contracts, standards, and regulations.
• Execute SQA activities, including reviews, code analysis, code inspections, and audits of processes, development, and test environments.
• Identify, manage, and resolve software issues, non-conformances, and areas for improvement.
• Evaluate software products, processes, and subcontractor activities for conformance to requirements.
• Perform risk analysis (SCAR, SFMEA) to ensure functional/non-functional requirements are met.
• Collaborate with project teams to address quality issues, report status, and support process improvement initiatives.
• Travel within the EU as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Strong ability to create and interpret technical documentation in English.
• 2-3 years of experience in software development.
• Self-driven with strong project planning and time management skills.
• Strong commitment to software quality and process improvement.
• Fluent in technical English, particularly within quality management frameworks and software.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Experience with continuous quality systems (e.g., SonarQube).
• Experience with real-time embedded systems in high-level languages (e.g., C, C++).
• Knowledge of coding standards (MISRA C/C++) or secure coding standards (CERT C/C++).
• Familiarity with embedded processors (e.g., ARM, SPARC).
• Experience in safety-critical industries (medical, railway, automotive, aerospace).
