Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the position:

Paradigm Software L.L.C. is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Development Team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our desktop and web applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing methodologies, test automation, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:  Create, maintain, and execute automated test cases to improve testing efficiency and coverage.  Perform desktop and web application testing to ensure high-quality software releases.  Perform stress/performance testing to identify potential bottlenecks and optimize application.  Conduct Section 508 Accessibility Testing to ensure compliance with applicable standards.  Develop and execute SQL Server queries to validate data integrity and application functionality.  Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.  Collaborate with development teams to identify, report, and resolve software defects.  Stay up to date with industry testing and best practice protocols to continuously improve the quality assurance process.

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.  Minimum 5 years Quality Assurance experience, preferably with desktop and web applications.  Proficient in test case creation, test script engineering, and test documentation development.  Strong communication and writing skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.  Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.  Programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., C#, Python).  Experience with test automation and performance tools (e.g., Appium, Playwright, Selenium).  Proficiency with writing SQL Server queries for data validation and analysis.  Experience implementing an automation framework.  Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.  Experience with Microsoft Azure is preferred.
